Linda “Bama” Sutton Open Wheel Modified Memorial - Labor Day Weekend
Arkadelphia, Alabama – August 22, 2007. If you looking for a excellent way to celebrate the Labor Day Weekend for 2007, look no further than River Valley Speedway, Arkadelphia, Alabama September 1st Labor Day racing program. What could be a better way to celebrate Labor Day and Linda “Bama” Sutton Memorial than thrilling dirt track racing?
For the special last fling of summer holiday race weekend, River Valley Speedway will honor the late Linda “Bama” Sutton. Mrs. Sutton was an icon in the southern states for dirt track racing. Mrs Suttons favorite racing division was the Open Wheel Modifieds. River Valley Speedway wants to keep her legacy alive by honoring her for the First Annual Linda “Bama” Sutton Open Wheel Memorial. This event will be held each year on Labor Day Weekend. This year, September 1, 2007 will be the first official race in her honor. We expect record crowds and record numbers of Open Wheel Modifieds. This event will pay $1,000 to win (19 or more, $800 for 18 – 11 cars, 10 or less cars $500 to win ), $50.00 to start with NO ENTRY FEE. Mr. William Sutton, Sutton Logging and the Sutton family will be awarding $300 to the fastest qualifier for this event. Mr. Sutton will officially start the event with the green flag, and will also award the 1st place trophy for this special event. River Valley Speedway will have a fire works display for this weekend to honor Bama for all of her dedication to dirt track racing.
