I have taken quotes from other threads on the board to give what people have had to say about this legand in dirt track racing, Jerry Inmon, Late Model driver from Mississippi.
I have had the honor of meeting Mr Inmon myself and he is super nice, it is always a pleasure to see the D7 car on the track.
We wish Jerry the best for many years to come.

Don't know how many saw the name [Dick Stevens] on Jerry's car Sat. night, but there is some history with that. He was wearing that name when he won the NDRA championship back in the late 70"s or early 80"s. Jerry was almost unbeatable in those days and every one talked about THE [D7] at race tracks everywhere. When visiting tracks anywhere and people learned that I was from Miss., they wanted to talk about Jerry and the [D7]. For the kids that didn't know like us old timers, Jerry is a true legend.

I noticed Dick Stevens name on Jerry Inmon's car too. When I first saw that on the car late last season it put a big ole smile on my face. Jerry Inmon was the first driver I ever called my "favorite driver" and although I have so many favorites now, Inmon is still right there at the top in my book.
I think alot of the younger or newer race fans don't realize that Jerry Inmon probalby ranks up there among the best dirt track drivers to ever climb in a race car, and probably the most accomplished driver to ever come out of Mississippi.
It saddened me a couple of years ago when Inmon won the track championship at Delta Bowl Speedway and hardly a word was said about it. If it was my track and a true legend in the limelight of his career like Jerry Inmon had won the track championship - or heck, even just a race - everybody in the world would know about it by the time I was done.
I've had word that Inmon is considering running here with us in town on a more regular basis, possibly even in the Crate class. Well I don't care if he's just racing a go cart, I hope it's true. I'd love to see that D7 circle the track on a regular basis.

Im a kid,15,and I know that Jerry Inmon is a legend. My friends that are with me at my local track where Jamie Dacus and Johnny Lancaster used to put a whoopin on them boys couldnt understand why I would pull for Inmon so much. They didnt know that he has a made the field at the World 100 at Eldora several times, they didnt know he has finished 2nd(or maybe his best was 3rd) at the World 100,and they didnt know that he led up until like the last 3 laps in one of the World 100's.They were also impressed to know that,as mentioned before,he was unbeatable at one time.My dad has also told me stories of when Inmon, and Hestor would come up to West Memphis and race and put on a heck of show. And from what I understand he was one of the best at carryin the Left Front in the air.Im a huge Jerry Inmon Fan,I have never met him.I hope to meet him this year though.
I would love to see a Highlights sheet of some of his biggest wins, that would be awesome for me.

Jerry Inmon “The Mississippi Flyer” has raced the D7 all over the country. He has been an outstand ambassador for Mississippi/Southern Late Model Dirt Track Racers.

When I was going to school at Mississippi State back in the early '80's I would drive over to Columbus on the Fridays that I didn't drive home to race. Jerry was racing at Columbus then, he was pretty dominant if I recall.
