See if you can get me the name of the driver. There has been a lot of V8's around. Back in the mid 50's there were 4 just in the Jackson area. There was the "Black V8" of Ellis Palasini, Ellis also had a "Chevy V8". A "Red V8" driven by Bob Herrin and a "White V8" driven by P.A. Luper. All were open wheel Modifieds.

I am pretty sure his last name is Polasini. There are at least 3-4 in the same family that race open wheels around here. I know John and the one they call Bobee, have never met the others.

Asking around I believe Bobee is Ellis Palasini's nephew. John, I 'm pretty sure is Butch's son, Ellis' grandson. Duke is another of the family, possibly Bobee's son. But I'm sure they all are related to "The Man in Black". So driving the V8 is a "Family tradition".

I am pretty sure they are related in some way, just not sure how.
