Southern Dirt is proud to present 22 year old Jeff Howell, from Memphis Tennessee, as Driver of the week. Jeff's 3rd year in open wheel modified has brought him a couple of heat race wins and currently 8th place in USCS points. 5th place finish at Winchester's winterfest. When it comes to the love for dirt track racing, Jeff is at the top of the list, having a good attitude in the bad as well as the good. Recently we saw Jeff step up to the plate to help people who were victims of the storm ravaged parts of Tennessee. Taking time to use his hauler to take needed things, and expressing the "good" feeling it gave him to see the thankfulness in the eyes and hearts of those in need. Jeff's personality has gained and is gaining him fans of all those who meet him and look forward to seeing the 00mod roll on to tracks in Alabama & Mississippi as well as Tennessee Tracks. Jeff welcomes anyone to come by and say hello anytime you have the chance to be where he is racing. Southern Dirt would like to wish Jeff a safe and great season. We are proud of you. For more information see Jeff's profile in the driver profile section.

;)Don't know Jeff, but if he shows up at Columbus Thursday night and spanks that Bunch, he would be unmistakable driver of the week. Just funning and this is an invite to him, we would be glad to see him down this way anytime. If his manners and driving is as good as his looks, he should be driver of the week. Maybe a three day race week-end can make up for a wet one. Lets burn some gas this week end going to races before it's all gone. WOUNDER HOW MUCH GAS COULD BE SAVED IF ALL LEGALS WERE SENT HOME ?#smilie_help#

Excellent choice Bama!!!! <Waiting on a sharp looking shirt from my favorite mod driver as we speak!~ Jeff and I have become very close friends over the past few seasons.. from laughing at him and Ben S @ Corinth talkin about the dumpster diving competition to hanging out with his crew( Ben, Davo & Jonathon) after NAS - Super nice group of guys.. very seldom do you see a team work as well together as they do .. they may have their moments..but are over it quickly and back to work on their cars.. I know they work hard day in and day out to have their cars race ready by the weekend! I know Jeff has worked extremely hard this season.. Garnertowns flip..didn't help the season start out as hoped... but hard work & dedication has got him back on track.. the USCS deal seems to be a great series..and I know he is looking forward to following it this year - I haven't made it to a race yet.. (working weekends is for the birds!) ....but hope to soon!! Hopefully NAS will be in 00 Mods schedule soon!! Good luck this weekend @ Gtown & Clayhill- Best of luck this season! ~ Your #1 fan!! :-D ~~B r i T t A n Y~

You all are just too much! To be voted for as driver of the week on The #1 Moderator's Board, is an extreme honor to me! I would just like to say to everyone...thank you for the support over the past couple of years! I know that i might not be the hero winning every race, but it is something that i enjoy more than anything in the world! And i wouldn't change that for anything! I hope to see everyone at the track soon, and would be more than happy if i have never met you, to come up an introduce yourself when you see me and my crew in the pits! Thanks again, Jeff
