This sort of ties in with the rear engined Supermodified thread, I could swear the Hite car in weeds in that photo site is Ikey Jerome's car. It's an early Hite, pre-'72 I would guess.

Thanks for the site I wish someone would have kept up the history of racing in AL better, the people in Kansas and some more out west really done a great job even keeping up with results from way back when

All it takes is someone to start asking questions. I would have never believed that there was so much information out there about Mississippi Racing History. I started asking if anyone had a picture of my dad's car. That's how www.MissChicken.com and Mississippi Racing History got started.

If you haven't been to the Alabama Oldies Site lately ( public.fotki.com/alabamaracingphotos/ ) you may want to check it out. The old rear engine #99 of the Wesson Racing Club and driven by Ikey Jerome is under reconstruction. Robert said that the Alabama Racing Hall will be moving cars to the New NASCAR Hall of Fame. They will need replacement.
