Here's a picture of a very young Rick Crawford taken at Jackson International Speedway back in 1979. Today Rick is driving the #14 Ford F-150 in the NASCAR Craftsman Tuck Series. Looks like this Alabama boy is off to another good year in NASCAR !! 1979 World Street Stock ChampionPicture donated by Rick's Uncle, Buddy Bielarski also of Mobile.

Rick started racing at Mobile when he was 15, in the Limited Sportsman class in '75 or thereabouts. They announced a new Street Stock division for the '77 season and Rick was the first track champion of that division. I was in college then, I came home at the end of May and built a car for that class. Rick won the feature at Mobile the first night I raced my car.
