You wake up in the morning and your pipes are frozen. You get them thawed and shower up. Great, now you’re going to be late for work. Of course you hit every slow car on the face of the earth. You are rushing through traffic and bam; a cop pulls you over for speeding. Well isn’t that just great! There goes $75.00 down the drain. Well you made it to work--late but you are there. A good cup of coffee and things seem to be going better and then blank, your computer goes dead. Oh, you have got to be kidding me! I do not believe this. Well it is working now and you get to eat a decent lunch. Good full belly, and back to work. Towards the end of the day, your boss calls you into his office. Nothing unusual about that; he does that a lot. “Bill, the company is down sizing and I am sorry, I have to let you go”. What is going on!!!!! Ever have days like that?
Those are tests. They are tests to check your faith and to change you. God is always teaching us and training us. Teaching and training changes you. Changes you in a positive way. There is a model used in life and in business called the change curve. Funny enough it looks like a heart beat monitor. It has a line that goes across then dips down, then rises up and then goes across again. But now the line is higher. Basically is it saying that when you hit a bottom you will rise higher and things will be even better. That is what you must learn from God’s teachings. We must be shaken to be better. (Hebrews 12:11) 11:No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
For every action, there is a reaction. How will you react?
