Valentines Day was a day in which a feast celebrated the life of Saint Valentine by the Roman Catholic Church. Saint Valentine refers to one of three martyred saints of ancient Rome. A martyr is a person who is put to death or endures suffering because of a belief, principle or cause. A saint is a holy person.
The day in which we celebrate a loved one, came from a day that celebrated the life of a saint. This was a Saint that was put to death because of his beliefs. Do you know of someone else who was put to death because of his beliefs? The belief in God has never changed. People have believed in him ever since the beginning of time. He has never changed and has always the same. A loving father. (James1:16 & 17) 16:Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. 17:Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
God loves you. You love someone. We need to pass love on to all mankind. If we could learn to love our fellow man as we love God, our family, and our friends, this world would be a much better place. Search your hearts. Spread love to others. There is no greater love than the love of Christ. Give a heart to him.
