If I could give you a PowerPoint presentation of your whole life up to today, would you want to see it?
From the day you were born and took your first breath you have lived a life. You played as a child, you learned and you grew. You had your crushes on those girls or boys, you had your first date and your first kiss. What about that first car, cool (well some of you had cool ones). Some went to college and some went to work. Some married, some had children, and some opened up the business they dreamed about. Some bought a house and some rented. For some, good luck has always been on their side and for others it has seemed to always be bad luck. In all of our lives, we have had different things happen and we have all gone different directions. But ask yourself this question; In all that I have been through and done, have I really lived? Those who have been raised as Christians can tell you, they have lived. I thought I was living, at least living it up when I was partying and running around. Those days of the beer in my hand--I thought that was the life. I think back now and realize that my life never really began until I accepted Jesus Christ as my lord. Jesus gave me life. He showed me the things that are important, my family, my friends, and my loved ones. He showed me love. He showed me how much, he really cares for me. He forgave me for all the sins I had committed in my life. He has eased the heartache and loneliness I felt. He gave me hope and joy and he gave the promise that he would never forsake me. All I had to do was to talk to him. Ask him in my life and repent. Start living a new life.
I would not be afraid to look at my life in a PowerPoint presentation because I know when that best part of the story starts. Have you ever heard the saying, “The best is yet to come?” Well accept Jesus Christ into your life and see how much better your life really gets. You will have trials, but once your name is in that book of life and you are bound for glory, you will know, the best is yet to come.
